Fajã da Pelada

Fajã da Pelada is a cliff located between Fajã de Entre Poios and Fajã do Cerrado das Silvas on the island of São Jorge in the Azores.

It has several streams, the inner and the outer. It has two houses with chimney, these rarely exist. Many people live some time. Others choose to live in the months of January, February and March and chooses to grow vineyards. Its production are wines, grapes, potatoes, corn, wheat, peppers and beets?. It is rich in bananas, figs and others. During the 1980 earthquake, its residents fled the area and move mainly for its planting potatoes.

The cliff features two streams, the dry Ribeira da Pelada which flows into the left side all year round. Another one on the cliff's right side known as Calhau Miúdo.

Many people resided in nearby settlements including Santo Amaro, Toledo, Rosais and Beira. It is features several fishes. Birds are commonly featured. Its permanent springs located around Terreiro da Macela near Beira. The water flows every 40 minutes.

This cliff features a large production of wine, potatoes and other vegetable crops.
